ENACT Principal Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has expressed grief over the sudden announcement of the passage of the Oloro of Oro Kingdom, Oba AbdulRafiu Ajiboye Oyelaran I, to the world beyond. Engr. Adeyemi described the death of the monarch as an end of a great era. According to the statement,
“With deep sense of shock and sorrow, we identify with sons and daughters of Oro Kingdom in particular and the entire Igbomina kins at this moment of grief over the death of our Royal Father, Oba AbdulRafiu Ajiboye Oyelaran I. Indeed, we have lost a harbinger of peace and unity.”
For over two decades, the entire Kingdom enjoyed stabilized and relative peace and tranquility within and around its environs. The late King’s leadership and charisma attracted many positive developments and progress to the Kingdom at home and even in diaspora. Kabiyesi will truly be missed with his fatherly roles and leadership advice as regards nation building, particularly at this time of challenges.
